Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Tuesday that by June 30, there will be more than 1 lakh cases of corona virus in Delhi. At the same time, by July 31, the number of patients will be 5.5 lakh and 80 thousand beds will be required. After attending the meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority, Sisodia said that there is a situation of community spread in Delhi, but it can be announced officially by the Center. Sisodia also said that LG has increased the problem by reversing the Delhi government’s decision not to admit outside patients to hospitals in Delhi.
Manish Sisodia told that the coming time will be very challenging for Delhi as Corona cases are increasing rapidly in Delhi. At the same time, due to LG’s instructions, it will be difficult for Delhiites to arrange beds. In today’s meeting we asked LG about the preparations for this decision but we could not get any clarity from them, he further said that central government officials were present in the meeting and they said that there is no community dispersal in Delhi, so there is no need to discuss it.
Earlier, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain made a big statement about community spread. According to Jain, contact tracing of 50 percent positive cases is not happening in Delhi, that means, 50 percent of the positive tested people do not know by whom they have been infected, which is sign of direct community spreading, but we can say this only when the center confirms this.
