Despite the Increase in Death toll from Coronavirus, Offices Re-Opened in Bangladesh, Transport Services also Started –

Despite the deaths of 28 more people due to Corona virus in Bangladesh and the outbreak of the epidemic intensifying, offices and transport services resumed in a phased manner on Sunday. It should be noted that it is the highest number of deaths reported in one day due to Corona virus in the country. Bangladesh first declared a nationwide holiday from 26 March to 4 April while the first death due to corona virus in the country was reported on 18 March, whereas 10 days before this, 3 cases of Covid-19 were reported for the first time. Let us tell you that after being declared closed from 26 March, it has been extended 6 times till 30 May.

Government and private offices in Bangladesh are carefully opened on Sunday, according to a government order, whereas, transport services are also restored in a controlled manner from 31 May. The cabinet decision stated, ‘All government, semi-government, autonomous and private offices will be opened under their own management (from 31 May) within a limited scope’, ‘Infectious people, sick workers and pregnant women will be exempted from going to the office and it has been directed that all the meetings will be done through online media.

The government will allow public transport services such as passenger buses, trains to ‘run in limited numbers’ with ‘limited number of passengers’. They will be required to apply masks while operators must fully comply with the corona virus health standards. Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Health Services said that 28 people died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths in the country to 610.
