Due to Corona virus, it has been decided to cut the salary of MPs. The Union Cabinet has decided to cut the salary of all MPs by 30 percent. That too for a year. The beginning will be from April 2020 i.e. this month.
The cabinet has approved the ordinance to amend the Member of Parliament Act-1954. In this ordinance, it was said to reduce the salary, allowance, and pension of MPs by 30 percent. Prakash Javadekar is the Minister of Information and Broadcasting. He informed that the President, Vice-President, many governors, and LG had further proposed to cut their salary by 30 percent for one year.

Prakash Javadekar also informed that the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADs) has also been stopped till 2022. Now every MP’s 10 crore fund will be spent in the construction of the country.
