BJP’s Omprakash is leading in counting. Speaking of assembly elections 2015, BJP won last time. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Om Prakash Sharma defeated the Aam Aadmi Party. Sharma won by a margin of over 10,000 votes.

On the Mustafabad assembly seat, BJP MLA Jagdish Pradhan is in the fray, the Congress made Ali Henna its candidate. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gave Haji Yunus a chance. Here, BJP candidate Jagdish Pradhan won the 2015 assembly elections. He defeated Aam Aadmi Party candidate Mohammad Yunus by 6031 votes. While Jagdish Pradhan got 58388 votes, AAP candidate Mohammad Yunus got 58388 votes.
