Jawa BS6 and Jawa Forty Two BS6 were first launched by the company in March 2020, but information about its specifications was not revealed at that time. Being in conformity with BS6 standards, there has been a slight difference in its power output. It is very much that the weight of motorcycles will increase due to additional emission restricted components and hence its weight has increased by 2 kg. Both bikes now weigh 172 kg.
Both the bikes have a 293 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which conforms to BS6 standards. The engine of both bikes produces 26.51 PS of power and 27.05Nm of torque. Compared to models equipped with BS4 standards, its power has seen a drop of 0.86 PS and torque by 0.95 Nm. The engine comes with a 6-speed transmission, similar to BS4 bikes.
Apart from power output and weight, there has been no change in both the motorcycles. Well, how is its performance and how does it feel to run against BS4 variants. We will be able to tell you this only when we get a chance to drive both these bikes. The price of single channel variants of Jawa ranges from Rs 1,73,164 to Rs 1,74,228. At the same time, the price of Jawa dual channel ABS variants ranges from Rs 1,82,106 to Rs 1,83,170. The only difference in these prices is the color variant, while the BS4 model had the same price for all the color variants.
