Kejriwal’s ministers did this experiment in swearing

Six ministers along with him also took an oath of office and secrecy. There has been no change in Arvind Kejriwal’s cabinet. During the swearing-in, ministers Gopal Rai and Imran Hussain took an oath, deviating from tradition. Gopal Rai took the oath of office in the name of the martyrs, while Imran Hussain took an oath of secrecy in the name of Allah and in the name of God. The oath is usually taken in the name of affirmation from God or uprightness

Gopal Rai has been active since the time of the Anna movement. Kejriwal is counted among the most trusted people. Gopal Rai, who came to take oath after Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, took the oath of ‘martyrs of freedom’. They have won from Babarpur Assembly seat of Delhi in this time elections.

Imran Hussain won elections from Ballimaran. He also changed his oath. Imran Hussain took the oath of office in the name of Allah.

‘I, Imran Hussain, swear to Allah that I will have true devotion and allegiance to the Constitution of India established by law. I will keep India’s sovereignty and integrity intact. I will discharge my duties as a minister with devotion and pure conscience and I will do justice to all kinds of people according to the Constitution and the law, without fear or favor, affection or malice. ‘

Taking an oath of secrecy, Imran Hussain said,

‘I, Imran Hussain, take an oath to God that the subject which shall be brought to my consideration as a minister or known to me, shall not be given to any person or persons except for the proper discharge of his duties as a minister. If required to do so, I will not directly or indirectly inform or disclose. ‘

Imran Hussain Kejriwal is the youngest minister in the cabinet. He has studied from Jamia Millia Islamia. He was holding the responsibility of the Ministry of Food Supply in the previous government.

Governor in Maharashtra got angry

At the swearing-in ceremony of the Shiv Sena-Congress-NCP cabinet in Maharashtra in December 2019, several ministers took oath in the name of Shivaji Maharaj, Balasaheb Thackeray, Sonia Gandhi. KC Padvi, who was swearing for the post of minister, went further. After taking the oath, he started giving speeches on stage. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari kept on stopping them, but KC Padvi was carried away by emotions.

The governor got angry about this. He asked KC Padvi to take the oath again. Also said that as much as is written, read as much. KC Padvi had to be sworn in again.
